Don't be too rough on the kid. I think things would have gone a lot worse if he hadn't come with us to rescue you.
Aside from the problem of finding you in the first place, Tango reported that Shadow seemed to have orders to attack Air. Meaning if he hadn't come, Shadow might have stayed hidden and then grabbed the both of you instead. And I'd rather not have to sneak into Skull Castle to snatch you back.
*He notices what Tango is doing, and almost smiles, moving to pick up the cat* She's decided she likes Crash for some reason.
*He chuckles and looks to Quick* You don't think Crash would want a cat, do you?
*Quick shakes his head and sighs.* I'm not going to be hard on him for coming with a rescue party. Also, they had fully intended on taking us back. Wily wants us back, so he can make Crash and me into examples. There might not have been anything left to snatch back. *Quick's expression darkens a little.* However, I don't like Air deliberately hiding things from me.
*Quick grins a little.* I don't know if Crash would want something like that or not. He's never mentioned anything about wanting one before, but he probably wouldn't.
*Air is obviously nervous about the condition Crash is in now. He's not sure what made the cracking sound earlier and knows it could be any number of things. Air's scared actually.*
*Blues expression looks odd for a second, and he replies almost absently* Sometimes we hide things from others so they won't worry about things they can't do anything about.
*He smiles at Tango and puts her down* I asked in case Tango decides to be contrary and follow Crash home one of these days. Cats are like that.
*Quint shivers and waits for the CR to scan, even though he'll understand very little of the information. He almost wishes he knew things about the future in universes other than his own, so he'd know if Crash would be ok. But then, he remembers, he doesn't really know if any of them are going to survive what's coming in his own universe. When he does know things, it's just too patchy and erratic.*
*He's scared too, but he's trying to tell himself everything will be fine. After all, he's heard the stories from Waspinator and Terrorsaur about the amount of damage Waspinator used to get when they were fighting Maximals years ago. And Crash isn't shredded into pieces or crushed into a little cube... so he should be ok. Right?*
*Quint knows, though, that even among the Beasties Waspinator isn't exactly normal. And that some componants can't be easily repaired and are impossible to replace.*
