*Air sounds thoughtful.* Wily left that information out of the stuff repairers know for a reason. Wonder if Wily knows what Wind's been up to?

I-I don't know, Air. I don't.. our Wily wouldn't even let us learn as much about repairs as you know. We weren't allowed to fix each other or ourselves. He didn't want us to be able to without him.

Yours is different about that, but I don't know what he wouldn't want Wind to know. And if they're anything alike he'd be very mad if someone did something they shouldn't.

When I say wrong, I mean that my systems could tell there had been tampering. They weren't quite the same as the memories already there that hadn't been changed. As far as I know, he hasn't figured out how to keep the systems from detecting the changes...

*Air is a bit uneasy.* He didn't want us knowing that kind of information. I can't do that kind of thing. The reason some of us can repair is mainly that, with as little rules as he had about what we could do to each other, there would be too much repair work for him to be able to get anything new done. But if Wind is doing this without Wily knowing, there might be trouble...

If ours doesn't have time or doesn't want to fix someone, he just sends them to the Gallery without repairs and doesn't bother unless he needs them again.

He did that to the ones I was sent out with the last time. H-he said he was going to.. what he did to me. That they didn't matter, they'd just been a distraction and a test for Forte.

I don't know if he did, or if he just stripped me for parts instead. He said he might leave them alone.

*Metal just looks horrified at hearing that. While being stripped for parts isn't new to him, the idea of leaving someone unrepaired unless they're needed again is. And it's not a pleasant thought either.*

*Air sighs.* We never had enough room for Wily to just leave someone deactivated, except in odd circumstances. Therefore he stripped the usable parts and destroyed the rest...

Nexus is very strange. Alternates are confusing. Waspinator has never met another Waspinator, but did meet alternate of Dactyl-bot once. Was very much the same as Dactyl-bot Waspinator knows, but was not fere. Little differences.

*He looks puzzled and glances out at the storm* Waspinator wonders if Dactyl-bot is still storm-flying. Waspinator has not heard lightning yet...

It's called the Gallery because you can see them in there. I think he likes that. That we can see where we go if he doesn't need us, and we can see the others and our own places there.

Some of the others were scared of it. I liked it in there. It was quiet there.

*Quint doesn't say anything else. He shouldn't have mentioned that. Shouldn't have thought of it, or the team he'd been sent out with the last time.*

*Air sighs.* And just to warn you, Metal, there are other versions of Crash and Quick that we've seen in the Nexus. From Quint's universe, I think.

*Metal calms down slightly.* Really? It seems a little hard to imagine that there are other versions of us existing...

*He sounds uneasy.* We always knew exactly what Lord Wily would do when he decided that he had no use for us. *He shivers* At least, we did before Wind showed up...

*Quint nods slightly, latching onto the first topic to avoid any more discussion of the second for now* I met an alternate of me once, from another universe. I haven't seen him in a long time though.

*He's quiet for a moment. That Quint had still been with Wily, and with nobody to try to change things, maybe the reason he'd never come back was because they had all been destroyed*

It shouldn't be too hard to tell the ones from the same universe as I am. Most of them are smaller than you are. Our Wily didn't make us look that old. Most of us look like we're about nine to fourteen. I'm one of the smallest, and I've been mistaken for seven or eight years old. Iceman the youngest looking of any of us. Our Iceman looks about five or six years old.

Ballade's kind of unusual in looking older. And Punk looks older than any of us so far. He looks eighteen or nineteen, but he's kind of small and shorter than Ballade.

*Metal shakes his head.* Weird. I'm not sure how I'd feel about seeing another version of me. I'll keep that bit in mind. Definitely different from home...

*Something seems to suddenly fit into place for Metal.* That means there are alternates of those of us that were recycled, doesn't it?

*Metal seems a bit upset at hearing that. He shivers a bit.* That sounds like it'll be more than a little awkward... I don't think I want to have to deal with that yet. The thought scares me.

*Air sounds a bit annoyed.* And you could have prevented those how exactly, Metal? You weren't even in control of your own body for what happened with Elec, were you? You couldn't have done anything to change things.

I think some of them are very upset with Wind, especially Elec and Shadow, but they wouldn't be mad at you.

It's still Wind, or your universe's Wily, that does things. Elec was here earlier, before you and Flash were repaired, but had to go back to the Castle. Blues left too.
