*It's autumn here now, and the large rose garden is still stubbornly in bloom even though the leaves have changed color. The weather is clear and the sky blue with only a few wispy white clouds. Sometimes prehistoric Earth can be simply beautiful. But who has time to stop and look some days?*

*didn't hear the mumbling as he was still looking for another chair or makeshift stepstool. He finally pulls one over and hops onto it to hug Quick* It won't take long.

*shakes his head* I'm worried though. These things have had 'side effects' before. *shudders slightly, though he tries not to*

*thinking back to the pleading from earlier* Air sounded really bad, if that was real...

*Quint looks concerned. He wants to ask what kind of side effects, but given Quick's reaction to thinking of them, he's not sure he wants to know*

*The progress bars continue to show how much of the repairs are completed. Although CR works quickly, it will still take a few minutes*

*sounding a little nervous* I know what to expect though. I've just never dealt with any who've had a chip in for more than a day or two. This one had a week or so to do its damage...

*softly* Not going to lose another sibling that way. Not going to let that happen again.

*Quick watches the display as the CR works away.*

*quietly* You think he might try to hurt himself, because of what it made him do..?

*shivers* That won't happen. If.. if nothing changes, there won't be many of us left. I don't want to lose anyone else.

[terrorsaur]

*a slightly scorched and smoking dead goose falls to the ground with a 'plop' just outside the cave entrance. It's followed by Terrorsaur, who makes a much better landing, holding a small gun which he sends to subspace in order to pick the bird up by the feet.*

Hey, Waspy. Goose for dinner again. *he tosses the bird to the other Predacon* How's the xeno doing?

*catches the goose* Little blue-bot is in CR. *steps outside to clean and remove feathers from the goose*

*nods slightly* It happened the first time... The second just seemed to stop caring about anything, though he snapped out of it after time...

*determined* I'm not going to let that happen to Air. It will not happen like that.

*angrily* And if the worst does happen, I'm going to go hunt Wind Man down and rip him apart with my own hands. While activated. I swear that I will.

*arrived with Terrorsaur, making a bit of a face - there's probably a story about how Terry had to "save" her from the icky goose*

*looks at Quick, firmly* Air will be all right.

*very quiet, almost muttering* duct tape him into a straightjacket if we have to...

*darts over to hug Steadfast's ankle (he can't reach any higher)*

*bends down to rub Quint's back with a finger*

*Quick is still looking a bit uneasy.*

*frowns on hearing Quint's quiet comment* That might not be such a good idea, Quint. Air really tends to panic when restraints are used on him. He'd be likely to hurt himself trying to get the thing off.

*quietly* Only time I ever used restraints on him was for reactivating him after personality matrix problems...

*smiles up at Steadfast briefly before going back to worrying about Air. He glances at the CR readout to see how much longer it will be*

*When the CR finishes the repairs, Air is reactivated and the grating is raised. If just because he's confused, and a bit frightened, Air does what he thinks is the safest way to react to the reactivation. He stays still, trying not to react or show any obvious signs that he's activated. Better just to wait and see what happens first. For all he knows, Wind could have gotten him back to try something else on.*

*quiet or not on Air's part, the computer makes a small beep of notification when repairs are completed*

((If Wind's LJ only has one image, you can just click 'other' next to the logged in journal and type in the name and password. It's useful for journalflipping, tho it means always using default image, so doesn't work for multi-chara journals))

*Quick looks a little puzzled at the lack of reaction from Air.*

Wasn't he supposed to reactivate?

*looks worried* Yeah... *goes over to the CR* Air..?

*Air shivers a little bit and doesn't quite manage to hide it. He heard the two very familiar voices, but he's scared that this is just a trick to get him off guard. The memories of what happened are coming back clearly, and he knows he should be in a lot more pain than this.*

*the lack of response worries him* Air? Are you ok? It's Quint. *he hops up the makeshift stairs near the CR*

*he looks over at Waspinator, confused and starting to be scared* Why isn't he moving..?

*had just come back in with the cleaned goose to see this* Waspinator does not know.

Air? Can you hear us? *sits on the edge of the CR and reaches to hold Air's hand, scared and wondering what went wrong*

*Quick watches uneasily, as he approaches the CR.*

*softly* Air? What's wrong?

*Air just starts shaking a bit when he feels someone grabbing his hand. He's scared now, so he doesn't realize how obvious an indicator that he's active the shaking is. Air really fights the urge to jerk his hand away as he wonders why Wind is doing this to him. It has to be a trick of some type.*
