*Quick watches, looking a bit worried at the lack of movement.* Metal, you're safe here. The chip is gone, and you know us. We won't hurt you, brother.

*Metal shivers a bit, not even bothering to pay attention to the words. They only made it hurt that much more. Every time that he's been given back control of himself, it's been accompanied by pain. Why would this be different? Metal starts shaking a little bit, scared. He hasn't heard Wind's voice, but it's only a matter of time. The whimpering stops for a bit as Metal speaks softly, sounding resigned.* Just do whatever it is you're planning and get it over with. I don't care anymore.

*Ballade leans against a wall near the CR and starts talking. He does speak a bit more quietly though, as if trying to be soothing. It almost seems as if he's unaware that Metal isn't moving. Or maybe it's just that he doesn't mind if Metal is too scared to move.*

Um.. I wasn't planning anything.

Hi, Metal. I'm Ballade. It's ok. It's safe here. You're nowhere near the Castle or Wind and the chip is gone, and Wind's gonna be picking shrapnel out of his ass for a couple more hours at least and even when he's done he doesn't know where this place is.

Quick's here. And Crash, and Air, and Flash. And Tango but I don't know why. And Quint's here, but you wouldn't know him or Waspinator or Steadfast. Or me. Not yet anyway.

And nobody else is here now unless Terrorsaur comes back and he went out flying in the rain for some reason.

*Tango considers trying a more direct approach. She hops up onto the CR grating next to Metal, and gently nuzzles one of his hands, purring*

*Quick is trying to hide how upsetting he's finding this. He sounds a bit more insistent though.* Metal, trust me when I say you are well out of Wind's reach now. And no one here would want to hurt you.

*Metal is still unsure whether moving would be safe or not. He doesn't really trust the reassurances from the unfamiliar voices. It wouldn't be the first time Wind tried to trick Metal into thinking he was safe. Ever other time, once he thought he really was safe, that's when the pain actually started. On feeling Tango nuzzling his hand, Metal has to force himself to not flinch or move. When he hears Quick though, he responds softly.* Just another trick. This isn't real. It can't be real.

*Tango nuzzles Metal more insistantly, determined to get him to notice and pet her. She tries to snuggle her head under his hand.*

Should Waspinator move little xeno onto towels again until little xeno is feeling better? Would be more comfortable than on CR grating.

*Air pauses to consider this for a few seconds.* I don't know. It might be more comfortable, but I'm not quite sure how he'll take to being moved.

Waspinator can ask. *He goes over by the CR* Hello? Does little xeno want Waspinator to move him to towels? Is soft there.

*Metal finally does decide to look. He still thinks this is nothing more than a trick, but he'd like to at least get a chance to see what's near his hand. He doesn't move much, just enough to look around a little, and does his best to limit his reactions at first. Metal is a bit scared once he notices Waspinator and even more confused at being asked before someone does something to him. Why doesn't Wind just do whatever he is planning and get it over with?* Why does it matter what I want?

*He quietly repeats something he's been told a lot over the past months, knowing it's the answer Wind wants to hear.* I'm just a failure that is only fit to be one of Wind's test subjects.

*Waspinator buzzes angrily for a second* Little xeno does not deserve that. No one does. Wind is very sick mech.

*Waspinator calms down and looks at Metal, curiously* Matters what little xeno wants. Waspinator will not touch little xeno if little xeno does not want to be moved.

*Tango looks at Metal and purrs before nuzzling some more. She bats at him gently with a paw*

*Quick isn't sure how to respond to this. His feelings of guilt for having let this happen from earlier are getting worse. Quick has never, in all the time since he was activated, seen Metal act like this. When he finally does respond, he speaks sounds a lot more scolding than intended.* Metal, come on. Don't say that type of thing. You should know better than that. We are trying to help you.

*Metal flinches a bit. Angry or unhappy people means more reasons for them to cause him pain. Tango's behavior confuses him a lot, if just because he's never really dealt with animals of any type before. He responds softly.* Don't like being touched. Just ends up with me hurting more.

*Waspinator nods* Ok. Waspinator will not touch little xeno.

*Tango mews an apology and stops nuzzling. She doesn't want to hurt him. She pads around to curl up next to his head, purring softly*

It's ok, they're not mad at you. I think they're mad at Wind, because he's a jerk.

*Air is a bit uneasy, but he figures than Metal might find his presence less upsetting than Quick's at the moment, especially with Quick's current mood. He approaches the CR slowly, speaking softly.* Don't worry, Metal. You're among friends here. We aren't going to let anyone hurt you either.

*Metal looks at the strangers nervously. It wouldn't be the first time that someone lied to him and told him he was safe when he wasn't. He frowns a bit at what Ballade said.* Never cared before that I wasn't the source of anger. Just a reason to hurt me.

*He pauses a bit on finally seeing Air. He's even more frightened now.* This can't be real. They said you were destroyed. I saw the pieces.
