*Flash looks up, a bit startled at the unfamiliar voice. He had been a bit wary at how nervous Quick sounded. On actually looking around the place, he realizes that this is definitely not where he thought he was. He's still confused, and a bit uneasy. Beyond the weapons and teleporter being deactivated, something doesn't seem right in his systems.* What's going on?
*Quick speaks quietly.* We reactivated you. It's safe here, Flash. Trust me. No one here is going to hurt you. Wily isn't here.
*Quint tries to smile - though truth be told he's wary of meeting a new 'sibling', even an alternate, from past experience. Some were ok. Others, well, he looked like and often had been an easy target for the more tempermental ones. Even in his own universe, he was one of the smallest.*
*Flash isn't exactly the most trusting about this.* Why'd Lord Wily let you reactivate me? *He looks over at Quint, glaring a bit.* And who the hell are you?
*Quick glares back, having expected Flash to be a little bit touchy.* Flash, cool it. Quint doesn't deserve to be on the receiving end of one of your damn temper tantrums. *Sounding uneasy* As for Wily... He didn't exactly let us do it...
*Crash sighs, a bit annoyed. He'd almost forgotten that Flash tended to be a bit high strung at times.*
*As for Air, he's a bit nervous about getting in Flash's way right now. At least Quick will be able to get Flash back to behaving himself without much trouble.*
*Flash glares right back at Quick but decides it's a good idea just to back down for now. He doesn't have any real way to defend himself now anyways, so perhaps it's better to not anger Quick. Then it sinks in what Quick said.* Lord Wily didn't give you permission to reactivate me? Then why am I activated? I shouldn't be... I should have been a pile of parts.
*Quick speaks softly.* It's been a long time since you were deactivated. Things have changed a lot since then.
*Crash sounds a bit annoyed at Quick's way of dancing around the issue at hand.* Flash, we can't go back. It's not safe to. For any of us.
*Flash is a bit uneasy. He doesn't like this at all. His programming is saying that this isn't right.* We're supposed to stay with Lord Wily until he decides to scrap us. We're supposed to obey him. Why would you guys disobey him? *Flash shivers a little.* Lord Wily made us, and in the end, he destroys us. That's the ways things are supposed to be...
*Quick sighs. He knew it would happen like this. Even if Flash started off perfectly fine, the information is enough to knock most people off balance.* Don't worry. Wily can't get to us here. We're safe. We don't have to listen to his orders now. And if I have any say in the matter, he isn't destroying any of us. Got it?
*Crash nods in agreement, but decides to let Quick do the talking now that he's gotten started.*
*Air decides to add in his own comment.* You trusted us before, Flash. Trust us again in this. Please?
Just because that's the way it is or the way it always has been or the way he wants it doesn't mean that's the way things are supposed to be. *Quint almost sounds angry.* The way he treats us isn't right, Flash.
*Flash is getting even more confused at Ballade's question.* Since when has what any of us thought mattered? We aren't supposed to go against Lord Wily. I have to go back. I don't want to, but I have to. *He pauses a little. hesitating.* Even if it's going to hurt... It may not be right, but what right do we have to question Lord Wily's wishes?
*Quick sounds a bit angry.* Flash, stop it. You are not going back. We are not letting you go back just to be destroyed. Think about it. You know what you'd be going back to.
*Air is starting to see exactly why Quick wanted the weapons and teleporter disabled. They might not have been able to keep Flash here like this with him able to use either.*
It matters, Flash. And you don't have to go back to him. Not ever.
I know the laws are messed up, and the way Wily does things is even worse, but just because you make someone doesn't mean you own them, or at least it shouldn't.
You don't belong to him any more, Flash. You don't have to go back.
*Flash looks even more confused.* I don't have to go back? *It finally hits him what didn't feel right.* Why aren't I hurting for thinking like this? I shouldn't be allowed to do this... Lord Wily wouldn't like it.
*Quick nods firmly.* They're right, Flash. You don't have to go back. *He smirks a little.* You won't have to worry about hurting for thinking thoughts that he wouldn't like ever again.
*Crash smiles, glad things are starting to sink in.* You'll get used to it. We all did.
*Air sighs before adding his own comment.* We took care of the physical problems, Flash. Time will do the rest.
*Flash shivers, a little frightened at the thought. Freedom is such an alien concept to his mind. Also, the strangers are starting to make him feel a bit nervous.* I'm free? *He pauses a bit to think about it.* Well, I guess that is a good thing... I didn't want Lord Wily to recycle me. I didn't do anything wrong...
*Quick sounds a bit angry.* The old man was paranoid. Besides, we knew that what happened was just bad luck on your part. You were just unfortunate enough to have been one of the ones on guard duty at the time.
*Crash sounds a bit frustrated by this point.* Would you stop calling him that, Flash? You don't need to worry about hurting for not doing it, so just stop it.
*Air sighs, deciding it might be a good idea to start the explanations.* Wily's replaced us since you were deactivated. He doesn't need any of us anymore. Not even me, and I did the repair work...
*Waspinator doesn't say anything else for now, but stays in the room so he can help move Metal when it's time. Until then, he looks around the nearby makeshift kitchen for some of those low-sugar cookies he had*
*Quint knows he can't really help much with this part of the explanations, as he doesn't know all of what's happened in the universe the others are from. Plus, it might be best to distract Ballade so that the younger RKN doesn't slip and mention the Nexus or alternate dimensions just yet. Flash was going to have enough to get used to*
*He looks outside* I don't think it's going to rain yet, Ballade. It's just cloudy. *He smiles* Want to go see if we can find anything interesting outside?
*Flash looks a little unhappy at this piece of information.* So we aren't needed any more.
*Quick sighs.* Wily has made others, some of which are just trouble waiting to happen. We ended up having to leave because of some problems with one of them. A rather nasty one called Wind Man. A lot of our brothers have been recycled lately due to him.
*Crash smirks a little.* Yea, but due to that same bastard's messing around, we managed to get your body back. *He looks over at Metal's body, before commenting worriedly.* We have Metal's too, but we're not sure what kind of condition he's in.
*Air decides that it might be better for the others to explain things while he starts to check over Metal. He starts to go over to Metal's body.* Quick, Crash, I think you two can do the explanations better than I can. Better if I start to work on Metal. *Actually, he wants to see firsthand what they are going to have to deal with.*

*He removes his helmet so the visor wouldn't be hiding most of his face, and looks up at Flash* I'm Quint. Series ID RKN002.

*He smiles shyly at Flash, trying to be reassuring* He can't hurt you here, and you don't have to go back. You don't belong to him any more.
I know that's kind of hard to get used to, but it's not a bad thing, really.

That's right, you're free. Like you should be. And I believe you have people who care about you. For their sake alone, you shouldn't crawl back.
