*Blues is quiet for a moment, as if considering something, and then replies to Quick, seriously*
The three of you escaped on your own. Whatever the restraints used in your universe were, I'll count it as the same as breaking the Three Laws would be in ours.
Since I don't know what the situation with your universe's Blues is, or even if his motivations would match mine, I won't expect him to help. So, I'll 'meddle' a bit.
You escaped on your own. I'll do what I can to see Wily doesn't get you back.
*Quint just smiles at Quick* Of course I don't mind, oniisan.
I'd rather help, and have to worry about getting into fights, than stay out of it and have something happen to any of you. *He shivers slightly* I don't want anything to happen to you.
*Quick snickers.* Ballade, I meant that you were enjoying his behavior because it gave you a reason to blow him up... Not that you enjoyed the behavior on its own. *He sighs.* Thank you for that, Blues. I also learned a long time ago to never expect someone to always be around. Things have a tendency to happen to change that. Quint, I don't want anything to happen either... However, I don't want you getting hurt for us either, okay?
*Crash looks a little surprised, but decides that he might as well give the cat what she wants. He reaches down to carefully pick Tango up and then continues petting her.*
*Air carefully reaches into the box for the personality matrix, trying not to damage it while handling it. With the place cleared, it slides into place rather easily. He starts work to stabilize it so that it stays put and begins connecting it in properly.*
Yup. Things can happen. *Blues almost smiles* And, despite my reputation, I can't be everywhere at once. But I'll try to be there if I can. Just don't expect me to be.
Um... *it seems to take Ballade a few moments to untangle what Quick said* Maybe! But if he wasn't acting like that, there'd be someone else to blow up. Like Megabrat. *he grins, not caring that Blues is standing right there while he mentions blowing up Rock*
Hey, have you ever seen fireworks? They're like bombs but all different colors. I wish my bombs were all different colors. That'd be cool!
*Quick nods, deciding it might be a good idea to get away from the current topic at this point, and grins.* No, I haven't seen fireworks before, Ballade... They sound interesting though.
*Air finishes the connections and checks things over, carefully making sure the fail-safes won't cause problems. The noise of a few things cracking can be heard.*
I have a book! With pictures! Quint gave it to me...
*Without waiting for a reaction or response, Ballade warps out, returning a moment later with a book on explosives, with a large section onf fireworks.*
*He flips through it looking for a picture, then holds the book out to Quick with a grin* See? Lots of colors.
*Quick looks a bit worried for a few seconds on hearing the cracking noises before he forces the concern from his expression.* Quint, trust me when I say the Air knows what he's doing. He's either breaking something that shouldn't be there or dealing with the fail-safes. We never did take them out of Flash. Too dangerous for him. Metal still has them too... *He looks at the picture in the book.* Interesting. They are definitely colorful.
*Air carefully checks things over before pulling out a few broken bits and closing the access panel. The rest of the damage looks to have been caused by being too close to one of Crash's bombs when it went off.* There. The parts are reinstalled now, guys. Just need to deal with the rest of the damage...
*Quint nods slightly. The failsafes in my world are more in our programming than hardware, except for the choke chip and the tracking device. Not something you can break that way.
*Ballade's still grinning, seemingly unconcerned* Uh huh. I like the colors, and the bright lights. My bombs kind of blow up like fireworks!
*One of the Ballade Crackers appears in his hand. It's a spherical explosive with a few smaller round explosive spheres attached to it.* See? The middle bit blows up, and then the outside bits blow up, kind of like fireworks. But with less colors, and more shrapnel.
*He starts to giggle, amused by something, and grins at the unarmed explosive* Wind's gonna be picking all these little bits out of himself with tweezers for hours!
*Terrorsaur glances back over, having tried to amuse himself with a game of table solitare, but already looking bored nearly out of his wits*
So, now it's time to put him in CR? *he stands up and walks over, ready to pick up and move Crash, and wishing Waspinator were awake to play 'nurse' so he could go out flying instead.*
*Quick shrugs.* Some is programming; some is hardware. It's a bit strange how the programming part fails rather easily if the hardware is destroyed... *He looks rather amused at the explanation from Ballade.* Ouch. That doesn't sound like it'll be pleasant. Just what Wind deserves. *Quick chuckles.* Alright Blues, thanks for the help. Bye.
*Crash is at the moment not really paying much attention to anything other than petting the cat.*
*Air sighs softly* Yes, Flash is ready. Quick, I hope you have an idea of how to explain everything to him, since I have no clue...
*Terrorsaur picks Flash up and carefully places him on the CR grating, which lowers as the device begins to scan*
((Since there's no comparison scan, it'd be like when Air was scanned, and he'll likely have to tell it where some of the damage it didn't 'guess' is :) ))
*Tango isn't paying attention to anything but being scritched. She's reverted to the strange, totally limp, purring state that, while normal for cats, seems almost surreal from a robotic cat in green armor*
*Quint nods slightly* I think it would be easier if we didn't have the choke chips, but even then it's not easy. Some of the others can bend the Laws sometimes, and Forte's almost broken all of them, I think. He doesn't seem to have Second or Third, and he's probably lucky Wily hasn't wiped him yet to reinstall them.
I only know of two in my universe that ever broke all the coding stuff on their own, without anyone else changing their programming to remove the sections of code related to the Laws. Blues, of course. And Ballade.
*Quick sighs, frowning at the reminder.* Honestly, I think that the Wily of my universe relied on the hardware to keep us in line more than the programming. I mean, once the hardware was dealt with, for a while I still had the urge to obey that programming, but between the lack of anything backing that up and what Wily did... *He trails off a little* It was the same with Crash. I'm not sure what happened with Air. *Quick looks a bit uneasy.* I just hope these two can break through what remains quickly.
*Air quickly returns to the chair he had been standing on before so that he can see what the scan says, and compare it to the repair information in his memory. He rather quickly gets to work on picking out what Wind added that needs removed. Seeing as dealing with that is just as important as dealing with the real damage.* Not too bad. I can tell it's Wind's work though. Not one of his usual designs, but definitely his style.
